It was purchased in Italy by the late Mr. West (P. R. A.) for Lord Turnour, for eight hundred guineas, and is said to be the only known Picture of this Master in this country, -- painted on pannel (Pelegrino Tibaldi)|The Holy Family -- this Picture produces so striking an effect that it might easily be mistaken for Raphael.
