White marble, on a Pedestal of the same, which is enriched with female figures supporting festoons of flowers, beautifully sculptured. The vase in enriched with a grand historical composition of many figures, exquisitely wrought, representing an ancient Roman sacrifice to health. The under part of the vase is enriched with foliage, &c. from the antique. The tout ensemble of this grand piece of fine sculpture is truly dignified and noble The three last lots were originally executed for the Empress of Russia by an artist of great eminence at Rome, but by the fatal accident of shipwreck, they were diverted from their intended course, and brought to Leghorn, where their merits attracted the eye and taste of the present proprietor (artiste anonyme)|A Large Roman Vase.
