This fine picture, by the admirable Hogarth, represents Mr Lambert & Mr Goslong, -- the well-known Dr. Monsey, and Old Slaughter the original proprietor of the Coffee-House in St. Martin's Lane, (which still bears his name, and where the Meetings of the Artists was held, before the formation of the Royal Academy.) They are in deep conversation over a Bowl of Punch, and are full of life. It is undoubtedly one of the finest specimens of this Great English Master.
