It is painted with wonderful facility, at the same time that it is finished with the utmost accuracy. In point of expression, perhaps, nothing of this great master could be found to compare with it; the figures may be almost imagined to speak. It is signed and dated 1633, and is in the higest state of preservation (Rembrandt)|The Master Shipbuilder and his Wife. This capital picture is a duplicate of the one in His Majesty's collection.
