This capital picture was painted by Murillo about 1650, as a mark of gratitude to the community of a Capuchin Convent at Cadiz, for attention shewn to his brother during a severe indisposition. The picture was obtained from the Convent, and the certificate of the heads of the Convent may be examined (Murillo)|St. Anthony of Padua in Adoration.
