The celebrated Madona belonging to the family of Cenci Bolegnetti, in whose family it has been upwards of 100 years, and was considered as the first of this Master in the Gallery. -- Count Virginio Bolegnetti exposed it to public veneration at the corner of his Palace in the Corso at Rome, where it remained till the Palace was disposed of to the Duke of Torrolonio (Guido Renni)|Madona and Sleeping Infant. The expression of pleasure in the countenance of Venus, and of surprise and joy in that of Eneas, are particularly striking.
