The nymph is represented sleeping on a bank, and Jupiter in the character of a satyr is issuing from a grove, and is in the act of removing a piece of drapery which covers her person. both with regard to the drawing, colouring, expression, and finish, this splendid effort of art may rank with the finest works of this master. It is in fine preservation; and has been in the possession of a noble family in Ireland for upwards of two hundrd years. Size 6 ft 8 by 5 ft. (Sir P. P.
